Hopefully this response will provide more understanding on the debate between Dr. Lewin and I. Make sure you read the literature for more clarity.

I wonder why nobody uses shielded wires for measurements. I am not PhD., not even EE, just ordinary electrician and we use shielded cables everyday precisely because of this. Induction is tricky.
the voltage around a loop is integral(E.ds) from green theorem u can write it as double Integral (curl(E) da) if changing magnetic field exists curl(E)=1/c partial (B)/partial (t) so curl(E) is not zero and the integral(E.ds) is not zero, thus E field is not conservative and voltage cant be defined properly.
This is exactly the reason I am going to explain Integral and derivative to my 9 and 12 yrs old kids. I do not care if they will study or they will be great crafts men, but the concept of derivative and integrals should be understood by everyone.
But how does the probing equipment knows which are they measuring?
everything's good but mr. levin mocked mr. mehdi because he himself has a phd and mr. mehdi has a masters. this only shows the arrogance and immaturity of mr. levin which isn't good in the field of science.
your science is logical in my view
I mean ive done an electromagnetism course in my bachelors degree in EE and it wasnt even that in depth imo and we used kvl to find induced voltages and currents as well as battery voltages lol. I really dont see how dr lewin can view them seperately. Again, this is from someone who hasnt even finished his EE degree yet(final semester)
Us Army taught me basic electrical circuit theory. We IMMEDIATELY renamed "Kirchoff's loop law" to the "jerkoff circle law", for all of the obvious reasons.
This man seems to have good knowledge. He should start a YouTube channel or something.
If a scientist feels attacked because someone disagrees with your theory, they're not a scientist. Scientists work together to come up with a solution, not to argue.
I thought it was just juvenile YouTubers who dressed up like ludicrous circus clowns to boost views.
I've worked for 45y in power conversion and control, as well as being an Amateur radio operator, and at 16yo earned a class 2 commercial radio lic. I don't have anywhere near the class room time as the above-mentioned scholars do (or Medhi). And I’ve forgotten more than I learned. I've watched and lurked on Medhi's channel, great stuff, great refreshers. And I think a great cross between the physics and practical EE work. I've hired, fired, kept, and worked with a lot of great folks with much more schooling than I and learned from them. In the 9-5 job, to get the work done, lump modeling is king and works, till you get into integration work. We don’t have the time to debate and model (Getting lost in the weeds is a real problem), it has to get done and it has to work and we have to mitigate or recover schedules. I can’t tell you how many times we “solved the problem practically” and the ‘ PHDs ’ were still playing with their theory and models. I can’t tell you how many times “bad probing”, bad setups, modeling, or not being able to see the trees from the woods have led to bad conclusions that get in the way, and or did not solve the problems and delayed programs by years. Some requiring complete redesigns. Many companies looking to short cut development work leaning way too much on modeling and getting to a first design and think it’ll ship. LOL – never happens. It’s only the start of the practical testing and practical EE work on the bench. For final integration work into 3rd party newly developed systems, when it comes to EMI and or other "noise" issues, there needs to be a good understanding of issues discussed in these videos and alike to start to understand where to start.
I’m going to have to stop getting high when I’m watching these videos! 😵💫
A decade later and almost 6 million more subs, and Mehdi is still the same awesome dude he was in the beginning. A class act and insatiable curiosity. You, sir, are an inspiration.
It was fun to see the tremendous scolding that a giant like Dr. Lewin has given you. Almost as epic as when you get electrocuted. Enjoy it, it's an honor to have made Professor Lewin upset. I will continue watching your videos, they are fun and informative, but this electric shock that Dr. Lewin gave to your brain was definitely the best. Solidarity hugs.
This is just wrong on so many levels
