This is a clip from my next video, where I challenge Veritasium's answer to his question on the "The Big Misconception About Electricity". Stay tuned! #shorts
Let me show you how crazy the world of ac is here. I have a loop of wire connected nowhere just an led at the end of it, and a five megahertz signal coming out of the scope, and if i connect the signal only to the led either on this side or the other side, it turns on with no Grounds connected.
Thanks to our electro boom.. everyone is getting knowledge
Shorts are complete and utter garbage. Donβt shoot yourself in the foot by feeding into Youtube cheapening itself like a bad prostitute.
Perhaps there is an electric underfloor heating in the floor and inducts to your wire? Magic.π
Would this work if the scope (working as a sig gen) was running on batteries and disconnected from mains?
I already expected that LED to pop loudly as usually in your videos and set my volume down because I was using headset. Got disappointed.
Meddy… check this guy out! The electric man! "Slavisa Pajkic – The Electric Man"
Ground is connected through the invisible parasitic capacitance. These parasitic capacitances have very low inductance at high frequencies Z = 1 / (j * 2 * PI * f * C).
f – frequency. If f is 0, impedance is infinite, but if f is infinite or at least very high, capacitance almost doesn't matter and the impedance goes to 0 (short) or in real circuit it's very low.
I agree 100% it is so crazy isn't it?
Anyone wanna be a cool nerd and explain what ground is for? Always wondered never asked or googled itπ€£ thanks π₯³
Mehdi, you are operating an unlicensed transmitter at 5 MHz- this is illegal. In jail, you will find AC / DC has an entirely different meaning…..
capacitive coupling with earth and inductive isolation of the two electrodes at 5M Hz
You gotta explain why it's crazy, cause it seems like no big deal, totally mundane thing to me
fun fact if you connect this just one side to earth the led will light up too (no DSO required) π
Well, that just dark magic and a pure logical things when you think it… Maybe we need to investigate
Please you make this project ππππππππhigh voltage to convert high frequency 2ghz and your Mobile signal is jammed because the mobile frequency and the high voltage frequency match then the mobile is catch no signal.
But… If you connected the power source to the other end, how long would it take for the led to light up?
