I always think of Volts like VELOCITY, and Amps as Amount. U can have low weight flying super fast (fired Bullet), or something Heavy driving very slow (loaded Truck).

Hello ElectroBOOM, I'm an electromagnetism student and am having trouble conceptualizing what voltage actually is, and keep confusing it with charge. Hopefully this video clears up some of the confusion

am going thru HVAC school and altho there are voltage differences my question is how is that achieved? for instance we have a trainer that has 120vac in, it then goes thru a coil with an armature in the center but the coil is 240vac. so im wondering how is difference in potential even created, like mechanically or physically? obviously it can be stepped up or down but i am curious as to how it is created and then in a coil it is also changed there.
