This might be more of a lesson on proper probing than anything! There would be much less confusion if you have reliable results.

I am not advanced enough in my studies to say anything besides "yeah it makes sense", and I highly admire your patience and persistence.
I probably wouldn't have bothered, given the kind of reply you got.

The only reason i clicked was becuz i wondered how he was gonna pronounce “kirschoff”
    He know why 😂

How about you measure voltage while keeping measuring wires perpendicular to circuit-circle plane for all the measurements that you did in the video, it should conclude something.

Good job. I have worked with many "experienced" engineers who are still capable of making instrumentation and measurement errors. The proper way to measure that circuit and avoid induced measurement offsets is to probe orthogonally to the electromagnetic field. The prof is wrong and I knew it before I watched your video. MIT or not.

Strictly speaking you are not correct. If you have a vector field with zero curl, you can always write that vector field as gradient of an scalar field. This is the abstract form of conservation of energy. In electromagnetism, if curl of E is zero, we can write E as gradients of a scalar field V. That is the formal definition of voltage. When you have time varying electromagnetic fields, curl of E is not zero and thus voltage in the sense of Kirchhoff’s law is not well defined. Taking the integral of E.dl is going to be path dependent which is why you get different numbers on different path. You can break the distributed circuit into many pieces and talk about small voltage drops on the sense wire line, but that would be the same as taking the integral on different paths. You can do that because your volt meter is measuring lumped and distributed volt meter doesn’t exist

He said in the lecture that if you use 2 meters. Well is it possible to have 2 meters 100% calibrated to each other. I say NO!!! It is possible to calibrate to a specific standard. However, there are many tiny variables that can effect the reading displayed by 2 seperate meters. WHAT? You don't believe me? TRY IT!

I suspected such as much. No wonder he doesn't want to talk about it. He's embarrassed.
